Small Business Reserve Report
Executive Summary
The Small Business Reserve Program aims to increase participation in State procurements by small businesses. The Program requires 23 designated State agencies to structure their procurement procedures to ensure that at least 10% of their procurement dollars are expended directly with certified small businesses at the prime contract level.
In the past four fiscal years, the percentage of agency procurement dollars expended on certified small business enterprises averaged 6%.
Currently, 6,739 qualified small business enterprises are listed in the State directory. Of those businesses, 316 are veteran-owned small businesses and 141 are service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
