Great Moments in the History of the Board of Public WorksFrom the Minutes of the Meeting of January 20, 1887: A petition of the citizens of the eighth district of Anne Arundel County, asking that they be furnished with a cannon to protect oyster grounds from depredation, was presented to the Board and ordered to be filed. The Board decided that they have no authority for such proceedings - besides they have no cannon. |
